Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Walking in sunshine

How nice walking in the sunshine this morning.
Some clouds around too but mostly sunny.
The temperature was 66 and it was pretty windy.

Went around both of the cemeteries first.
Then around town, around the ball park loop and
then back to the Jeep.

The corn is about 6 inches tall now.
Doubt if it will be 'knee high by the 4th of July'.
It was so rainy that it got planted later than usual.

The only person I saw out was Rebecca out walking Leo.

🌤    🌸    😊

Last night when I was driving back from church I had to stop
and let a bear cross the road.
Pretty cool to see.

Back to church this morning again for Blankets.
It rained the whole time I drove there and then again
when I drove back home.
There were 14 of us making blankets.
It's a good thing we can work, talk, and laugh at the same time
or we'd get nothing done.

This afternoon I baked Cinnamon Coffee Cake.
Another recipe I got from Mari.
It has quite a lot of steps to it but well worth it.
Delicious.

Hope your Thursday was a good one.
Thanks for stopping by.
🤗 HappyK ❤️

Don't you LOVE this house!!!
I sure do.

Our corn is going to be late this year too.
Glad you were in the car and not walking when the bear crossed your path! :)
Glad you liked the cake.

I do pray we get some rain here in Montreal. It is 95 degrees right now, very hot and humid! That is a lovely church project in making blankets. I am so glad you enjoyed the cinnamon coffee cake. Mari posts some wonderful things, including recipes! She is a lovely person. Thank you so much for sharing.

Hi Karen. Charly planted some corn in our backyard garden and it is about 12 inches high now. The blanket group at your church sounds like a lot of fun - and you are doing wonderful service too! Mari always has wonderful recipes! Yes, that is a lovely little house in today's scripture picture! Glad you had another nice day!

The cottage is sweet - too bad we don't have houses like that around here. I bet the air in your area has a sweet fresh fragrance. I love country air.

Enjoy your sunshine! We are finally getting some as well. Bear sightings around my area too, but I haven't seen one in person. Lucky you!

The wild lilies are so pretty. And the house is so cozy, looks like an English cottage.

Karen, I am so glad you were in the car when you saw the bear. This is definitely the time of year to be seeing them and they seem to be quite plentiful this year. One attacked a man here in Preston County a week ago and he had to be life flighted to the hospital

I'm glad you got to walk in the sunshine this morning.

Wow, a bear crossing the street! We don't have those in the Netherlands. Walking in sunshine is nice, but only if it's not too hot I think.

I don't think I've driven by any corn fields lately. I'll have to pay more attention to see how it's doing around here.
That would be cool to see a bear. So long as it's not a face to face encounter.

Yes, the corn in our area of northernmost Indiana is not going to be knee-high by the 4th either. I *love* the little sign you posted, with the house. I love the Bible quote even more. ~Andrea xoxo
